This week it was announced that United States SEC Commissioner Hester Peirce (featured photo) will speak at Georgetown University.

The fireside chat on January 26th will discuss Peirce’s thoughts on digital asset regulation.

In 2020 Peirce won a second term as commissioner, and she was earlier given the nickname “crypto mom” for her support of digital assets.

Peirce has said that it’s important that the SEC become “a bit more nimbler with respect to innovation,” according to Forbes. Before joining the organization she had researched financial markets at George Mason University’s Mercatus Center.

The Commissioner will be interviewed by entrepreneur Edward Cullen, CEO of Crescite Innovation Corporation.

The event will also serve as the launch of the blockchain business forum USA-UAE Alliance, which was formed by Georgetown University classmates Cullen and Michael Amatulli.

“The USA-UAE Alliance™ is the latest example of international collaborators coming together and using blockchain technologies for economic growth and social good,” commented Cullen.

The alliance’s team includes Karl P. Kilb III, Co-Founder and Chairman of Crescite Innovation Corporation and former General Counsel of Bloomberg LP, and Benjamin Scott, who’s notable projects include helping to plan the trips of President Biden to the 2021 G7 World Leaders Ministerial in the United Kingdom and the NATO 2022 Summit in Spain.
