It is now just over under two weeks before the team behind Seedstars World, the largest international startup competition for emerging markets descend on Kyiv, Ukraine.
Set to take place at the Lavra Gallery between December 12 and 14, the Seedstars CEE Summit forms part of a much-wider Seedstars movement that is making waves around the globe.
It also marks the last of twelve summits that have taken place across up-and-coming ecosystems in the past year, celebrating the future developments in a number of sectors.
This year, the Swiss-based organisation behind the global events had tasked themselves with supporting sustainable development goals and spreading the influence of entrepreneurship across the globe.
It forms the fifth annual world competition movement organised by the group, which since its launch has scoured for the best early-stage startups in more than 65 countries.
The much-anticipated central and eastern European branch of the tech event offers a groundbreaking forum specially focussed on technology and entrepreneurship in emerging markets. From brushing shoulders with investors to being inspired about the latest tech trends coming out of the region, there are plenty of reasons why Seedstars CEE might be the ultimate gathering this year for startup pioneers.
Keynote topics of “Venture in emerging markets – challenge or opportunity?” and “Building & Selling products from CEE” are just a taster of discussions as the organisation rallies to connect regions and enhance sustainable development across the ecosystem.
The event is set to be broken up into a number of sections which will start with a Seedstars Growth Bootcamp. This one-day invitation-only gathering welcomes 11 promising startups to receive training experience with mentors such as Andreas Flodstrom from Beetroot, Jeffrey Donenfeld from Boomtown Accelerator, and Dmitriy Shemet from Rnd64. For visitors looking to get in on the action, there will be ample time to network with the participants later throughout the event.
The Civic Tech Workshop and Game Changers Forum are just a few of the exciting happenings in the event that are set to display some of the best tech talents in the region. The conference will allow startups to learn more about the challenges in the ecosystem and understand how the community is working together to build stronger networks and forge a pioneering tech force to be reckoned with.
“Seedstars competition is a great chance for a startup to gain global exposure in front of investors and partners.’’Volodymyr Nesterenko, Managing Partner at Digital Future, and one of the investors at the Seedstars CEE Summit explained. ‘‘Winning the challenge is hard but it’s definitely worth the effort.”
As for investors, the Investor Forum means that entrepreneurs have the chance to reveal business models and discuss potential partnerships, as well as having access to matchmaking processes throughout the event.
